Diamond Bar High School relaxed its admission standards for one day.
Children young and old were all members of the campus community Sunday, as the school was the site of the third annual Walnut Valley Unified School District 5K and 1K Fun Run.
More than 2,000 people, from toddlers to adults, took part in the morning festivities.
The run capped off two days of events sponsored by the Walnut Valley Educational Foundation. Saturday, the foundation hosted a food truck event, which served as a way to alert the community to the school district's needs.
The foundation, founded in 1997, has raised more than a million dollars to help fund programs in Walnut Valley schools, according to a news release. Proceeds have provided items varying from library books to sports equipment, funding for new programs and student scholarships.
