Alumna Returns To Provide College & Career Guidance

Please join me in welcoming Gyasmine George to the Diamond Bar Career Center.

Gyasmine is a class of 2000 Brahma alumna. Heavily involved on campus, she served as the Commissioner of Athletics with the United Student Body (U.S.B), a varsity student-athlete, a member of the Black Student Union, Class of 2000 committee member and was voted her senior class prom queen.

Since graduation, Gyasmine earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from CSU, Los Angeles in 2005.  She returned to Diamond Bar for five seasons to coach girl’s basketball and one season of softball from 2005-2008 and 2012-2014. During her coaching tenure, she earned her Masters degree in College Counseling & Student Services from the University of La Verne in 2010 and in December, will be completing her Pupil Personnel Services Credential also from La Verne.

Gyasmine's experience serving a diverse population of students in areas of counseling, career preparedness, athletics, academic advising, special education and at risk continues to fuel her passion to advocate for all students under her care.

She also serves as an adjunct professor teaching Multicultural Psychology and undergraduate studies at the University of La Verne and Argosy University.

As the career and college counselor, Gyasmine will bring her love for her alma mater, upbeat energy, strong work ethic, knowledge and enthusiasm for student success. She will definitely be a worthwhile contribution to the Brahma staff.
