Interact stands for International Action
First founded in 1905 in Chicago, Illinois, Interact is an international service club. Each year, the club organizes at least one international event that benefits those worldwide, and at least one event that focuses on the community. Rotary, the parent club, provides support and frequently helps to sponsor Interact’s many events and projects. In this upcoming school year, Interact plans to host a benefit concert, fundraise for Rotoplast, the organization that provides free surgery to children worldwide with untreated cleft lips and palates, raise money to provide wheelchairs to the handicapped around the world, and also adopt a local neighborhood park in Diamond Bar.
This club offers many volunteer opportunities, and chances to obtain community service hours.
With more than 11,500 clubs in over 125 countries worldwide, Interact is one of the most significant and fastest growing programs.
