Welcome to the Diamond Bar High School Summer School information page.

 

Summer School 2017 - Monday June 5 – Thursday, July 13, 2017 (7:30am - 1:00pm)

1st semester:  Weeks 1-3, June 5 - June 22

2nd semester:  Weeks 4-6, June 26 - July 13

(Please note, the Fourth of July holiday on Tuesday, 7/4 means Week 5 will have school on Monday, then Wednesday-Friday)

**ICT/health and civics/economics:  While these are semester courses, students will be required to attend summer school for all six weeks, taking one course in the morning and one in the afternoon.

 

Please Note: If a pre-registered student does not show up on Day 1, he/she will be dropped after the first thirty minutes of class have passed to make room for students seeking to add the class.

 

Please bring your ID on the first day of school in order to check out books for class.

 

 

There are three summer school programs offered at DBHS each year:

 

I:  Non-Tuition (free) - Remediation of D's or F's for Graduation/CSU/UC or Enrichment

Students are signed up only through GLC, ELD coordinator, or special ed case carrier.

 

Courses offered

US History     English I/II/III     Algebra I     World History    

ELD I/II     ELD III    Sheltered English

(ELD and sheltered courses never for advancement, only English enrichment or remediation)

Bridge

 

 Class rosters of enrolled students will be posted as of 8:00 pm on 2/22/17.

Rosters may be viewed on the "I: Non-Tuition (free) Remediation" page you can access via the link on the right of this page.

 

II:  Non-Tuition (free) - Advancement or Remediation for Graduation/CSU/UC

Students must apply online between 2/22/17 - 3/7/17, beginning at 5:00 pm.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Rosters will be posted on the "II:Non-Tuition" page by 8:00 pm on 3/10/17.

The online registration can be found on the "II: Non-Tuition (free) Advancement" page you can access via the link on the right of this page.

** There is no advantage to applying early. Seats will be granted according to grade level, current juniors first, then by lottery if there are more applicants than seats. DBHS students, then WVUSD students have priority over students from outside the district.**

III. Dedicted to Learning Summer Program (Tuition) - Advancement or Remediation

This tuition-based program is run by an independent company on the DBHS campus.  Some D2L information is listed here as a courtesy, but D2L has no affiliation with DBHS or WVUSD.

WVUSD Students may apply online using the link to Dedicated2Learning.org during the 1st registration window from March 6th - March 17th.

Any seats in D2L classes not filled during the 1st registration will be made available to any WVUSD or Non-WVUSD student during the 2nd registration window from 4/10/17 -  4/21/17.
