Rio Hondo College's Annual Architectural Competition
Each year, architecture students throughout southern California compete at Rio Hondo College' s Annual Architectural Competition. Diamond Bar High School's architecture program, through the leadership of teacher John Jones, has won “The Most Outstanding Program” Award with the largest number of winning places in the following years: 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2006 our team placed second, losing with 21 versus 22 individual student wins. In 2010, Rio Hondo College decided to cancel the competition because of budget constraints.
