National Engineers Week Celebration... Brahma Tech Academy and Project Lead The Way are hosting the National Engineers Week celebration in the upper quad on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Come try your skills at flying paper airplanes, building marshmallow bridges, foil boats, and much more. There will be prizes and lots of fun!!! Find out what Project Lead The Way students are doing in Engineering and Robotics classes. (Gallardo) 

Peer Counseling Interviews Begin Soon! If you are interested in joining Peer Counseling for the 2018-19 school year, drop by the Wellness Center or Room #262 for an application and sign up for an interview. This full-year elective class is fun and interesting while making great friends. If you would like to make a difference, join peer counseling. Interviews begin March 5th through the 20th. Good luck! Coding Hackathon at Walnut High School...Are you interested in competitive collaborative programming to bring your app ideas to reality and win cool prizes? Do you want to learn about the latest trends in technology like Blockchain and AI? WHS cyber security club will host a free one-day Hackathon on Saturday, February 24th from 9am – 4pm at Walnut High School. Multiple awards will be given including one Bitcoin worth of fund to a participating club. No experience required. Visit DBHS code club on Facebook to register. (Palisoc) 

Young men’s Leadership Conference…The Los Angeles Superior Court is sponsoring a Young Men's Conference for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. The conference will take place on Thursday, March 8th at the Los Angeles Superior Court from 9:30am-2:30pm. Lunch and transportation will be provided. If you are interested in attending, see your GLC by Friday, February 9th to sign up. (GLCs)


3rd Annual Career STEAMposium…The Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation in Partnership with the Pasadena Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Pasadena City College will hold their third annual CAREER STEAMposium on Saturday, March 10thfrom 8:00am-1:00pm at Pasadena City College. DB Form is Back! DB Forum is a fun and interactive workshop for all interested students and is scheduled for Wednesday, 2/28, 8am-3pm in the DBHS Gym. Space is limited for this unique opportunity, so stop by the Wellness Center or the Peer Counseling Room #262, to pick up your application to go. This will be the last Forum of this school year, so don’t miss out! (Davis)

"School on Wheels" is an organization that gathers school supplies for students that can't afford them. The Class of 2020 is collecting new backpacks to donate to this organization. If you are interested in helping students like you who can't afford to buy themselves a backpack please bring them to Mrs. Thomas in room 659 or Mrs. Clark in room 506 or to the table in the upper quad at the top of the double staircase at lunch. Any new backpack would be greatly appreciated. The Class of 20 will be collecting backpacks through Friday, March 2.Thank you! (L. Thomas)
