I wanted to take this opportunity to advise you all of some changes instituted by College Board for our AP testing starting next year in the 2019-2020 school year. We have a new order deadline of October 4th. What this means for your student’s is that they will order and pay for their AP testing in the beginning of the school year.
As a result of this change I have already posted our fee reduction forms on the web site. To be eligible for a fee reduction and pay only $10.00 per AP test you must qualify for free and reduced lunch. This process is done annually at the district office. You can print the application and turn it into nutrition services. It takes approximately 3 weeks for processing to occur so please submit your paperwork in enough time to meet the AP office deadline of 9/20/19.
During your students first week of school the teachers will have the students set up/log in to their college board account and register as a student of each AP class they are taking. Then the students will have to check yes or no on the college board web site and decide if they will be taking the exam (for classes they are enrolled in at DBHS only). I have already posted the AP test payment schedule online beginning 9/23/19 through 10/4/19. We will place our order on 10/4/19.
Another change is the cost of a canceled test. Should your student cancel a test the College Board fee beginning the 2019-2020 year is $45.00. This does not apply for students having a conflict and needing to take an alternate exam.
