Brahmas receive national recognition! Two teams placed in the top 5 in the Source America Design Engineering Challenge:

We are grateful to Mr. Johnny Hwang, our Engineering teacher, for his leadership and preparation for our students. Because of their success, both teams have been invited to Washington DC for the Source America Finals… Go Brahmas!

Week 28: Activities & Updates

 

 

  • CAASPP Testing:

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming 2020 CAASPP dates  ELA/Math, & CAST (Science). Our 11th grade students will complete the state’s testing for Mathematics and English, while our 12th graders will be completing the science portion of state testing. Click HERE for more info.

SBAC Testing dates:

  • March 30 (Mon) - Juniors – ELA Performance Task (PT)
  • March 31 (Tue) - Juniors – ELA Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)
  • April 1 (Wed) - Seniors – Science Six Segments CAST
  • April 6 (Mon) - Juniors – MATH Performance Task (PT)
  • April 8 (Wed) - Juniors – MATH Computer Adaptive Test (CAT)

 

  • Freshman Parents, Class of 2023 – Would you like to help raise money for your sons and daughters? Saturday, March 21 is the Class of 2023 Bingo fundraiser, and we need 10 parents to help. The Class of 2023 is responsible for providing parent volunteers for Bingo. By volunteering one night, the Class of 2023 can raise $1000.00! Please contact Class Advisor, Megan Gwilliam, at mgwilliam@wvusd.k12.ca.us if you are a Class of 2023 parent who would like to volunteer for this bingo date. Thanks!

 

Brahma Athletic Highlights:

 

  • Last week, our Boys Varsity Golf team won the Glendora Tournament for the second straight year! Led by freshman Henry Yang who shot 74 and finished second as an individual.  Senior captain Ethan Thomas shot 74, and freshman Hogan Park shot 81 for the varsity.
    • Our Brahma JV team won the Ayala Tournament with a fantastic score of 395 on the big course at Los Serranos golf course. Sophomore Darren Kuo won the individual championship also with a two under par round. Go Brahmas!
