Brahma Tech young women win NCWIT - National Center for Women & Information Technology - Affiliate Awards

Leslie Sim and Shannen Barrameda have been selected as 2016 LA/OC Affiliate winners of the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing. These women were selected for their "computing-related aspirations and for demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in information technology/computing; solid leadership ability; good academic history; and plans for post-secondary education." In addition to being recognized at an award ceremony at UCI, where they receive unspecified prizes, these young women become part of an exclusive group on the NCWIT community. An active and supportive group of over 4,800 members, facilitating mentors, internships, and networking opportunities. DBHS students have been receiving NCWIT awards for several consecutive years providing connections with mentors at companies like Google, Microsoft, and Yahoo.
