Girls Basketball Advances To CIF Second Round

Congratulations to the GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM for their solid victory in the first round of the CIF 1A Playoffs. Diamond Bar got out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back. Julianna OJ Gamboa, a junior captain, lead the way with 20 points 10 rebounds 6 steals and 4 assists. Diamond Bar has not won a home playoff game since Jim Salyer was head coach of the great Lady Brahma teams in the 1990's.

They play their next game on Saturday February 20 at 7:00 in the Walnut High School Gym. They are the home team and will play a 1st place team El Rancho from Pico Rivera.

The Brahmas made it to the Sweet 16 because of the great work of their two Varsity Assistant Coaches. Erica Younge and Kylance Malveaux ran the show while Coach McCabe was away and the team never missed a beat. Pep, the football team and a lot of DBHS showed up and the support was memorable.
