Math Madness Season Ends In Division I

The season for our Math Madness Team came to an end this week after being bumped up to Division I. Even though Division I is the most competitive, our team did well, losing by just one point to Irvington High School, located in Fremont California. Irvington High came into the match ranked #14 in the nation.  DBHS came in ranked #20 in the nation. Wednesday, November 9, 50 Brahma Mathletes competed. Our best five scores were compared with the other team's best five scores. Here is a list of our top scorers:

Benjamin Chen (7/7)
Qinhong Chen (6/7)
Matthew Ho (6/7)
Peyrin Kao (6/7)
Felix Su (6/7)
William He (6/7)

Special recognition goes to senior Benjamin Chen who was ranked 17th in the nation out of the 21,377 students that participated, taking in account his score and time taken to complete each match. Way to go Ben!

We were glad to see so many young Brahmas participate and look forward to next year. Great job everyone!
