Hello Brahmas,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend, and you were able to honor your mom!

I am excited to share the news about DBHS Senior Amelia Anijielo who has been selected as a finalist in the Macy Awards! Amelia’s most recent lead role was Sebastian in our spring musical,The Little Mermaid. Amelia will compete for a chance to be named the Best Actress, and be flown to New York for the National HS Theater Awards! Click HERE to read more. Last week was an amazing week in athletics! Our Track & Field, Badminton, Boys Golf, and Swim teams had outstanding competitions. According to Coach Malinalli Cooke, we had multiple student-athletes qualify for CIF-SS Finals, including Marissa Vasquez and Samantha Blazek! Click HERE for the highlights. In addition, our Varsity 4x400 relay team (Kailen SmithTimothy LeeCristopher CardozoJadyn Sanchez) earned a PR with a time of 3:27.01, which earns them 10th on the Top Ten of All Time list!

Our Boys Golf team led by Head Coach Tony McCabe continues the Brahma tradition, both Varsity and JV won the Palomares League Championship Undefeated and competed in the CIF Team Championships today. The Varsity has won 10 straight league titles (6 with Coach Ty Watkins and 4 with Coach McCabe).

Our Swim team finished League with Varsity and JV boys being undefeated and League Champions again for the Fourth Year in a row! It has been an exciting season and we have CIF and then States ahead of us. SENIORS – Important Reminders: 2 Weeks Remain for Seniors!

  • Senior Breakfast will held at the Phoenix Club of Anaheim, Friday May 25, 2018, with an all you can eat Breakfast Buffet.  It will be the “Final Piece of the Puzzle” with your friends. Plenty of entertainment (Hypnotist Show) and games $30. Tickets are on sale in the student Store.


  • Senior Picnic: Tuesday May 29 at 11:00 am until 2:30 pm. The BLOCK PARTY has been moved to the upper field. There will be games, giveaways, DJ, and Chick-Fil-A for $15.00.  It will begin after graduation practice. You can grab food and go. We hope to see you there at The BLOCK PARTY! Tickets are on sale at the student store. Final week of sales through May 18.


  • Senior Banners are still on sale through May 21, 2018.  The banners will be on display round the field and can be taken down after the ceremony as a keepsake. They are $35.00.  The form is on the DBHS website. Make out all checks to Diamond Bar High school Class of 2018 and bring them to Wakefield’s room 415.
