Principal's Memo - Week 38

WEEK 38: May 21 – May 25

Hello Brahmas,

This has been an amazing year, and I am so proud of all of the hard work our students have done! I wish everyone the best of luck on your final projects and exams. Keep up the good work!

Special thanks to Math teacher, Latitia Thomas and Grade Level Coordinator, Marc Natividad, all of our other chaperones who worked Grad Night on Saturday, May 19. It was a great evening for our outstanding Class of 2018!

Athletic Highlights:

Marissa Vasquez and Samantha Blazek competed at the CIF-SS Finals at El Camino College, and Marissa placed 1st in Division 1 and had the fastest time of the day in the 800m with a time of 2:11.98! This time qualifies Marissa for the Masters Meet (next Saturday) in which she will compete against the top girls from all four divisions. Samantha Blazek ended her season and high school career with a 9th place finish at CIF-SS Finals in shot put. Great job to Marissa and Samantha!

The Badminton team competed well in the Southern California Regional Tournament this weekend. In Mixed Doubles, Mirabelle Huang and Connor Lam earned first place, and Jasmine Huangand Brandon Zhou earned third place. In Men’s Doubles, Daniel Huang and Owen Che upset the #1 seeded team from Arcadia in the semi-finals and took 1st place! In Women’s Doubles, Crystal Wai and Megan Lee earned fourth place medals. Vanessa Doand Lucy Zhang finished in sixth place.

In Spring Football, our VARSITY FOOTBALL team was in a 4 way passing tournament at San Dimas HS. The Brahmas WON the tournament going 3 WINS and zero loses and we won by a combined score of 16 TOUCHDOWNS to 4…Well done Brahma Football.
