Monday, October 8, our Girls Golf Team played another fine round of golf at the Los Serranos Golf Course.
The Lady Brahma varsity team won the tournament, with an outstanding team score of 389. In 2014, the Brahma Girls Golf Team shot a record twelve under par 358 on the par 74 course for the CiF Central Title. That year, the Brahmas went on to win the state title.
The 389 that this year’s team scored is the lowest score for the Ayala tournament by Diamond Bar since 2014. It is also their 3rd straight Ayala Tournament Championship.
The Brahmas team balanced out to win after Meg Yoshida of Palos Verdes shot a 5 under par 69 to win the individual title and keep her team (404) close to “the Gutty Little Brahmas”. Sophomore Emma Han led the way for Diamond Bar with a 75. Juniors Angelica Kusnowo and Esther Lee shot 76. Freshman Bella Yang shot 79. Sophomore Alicia Kuo continued her solid play, posting a 79.
Brahmas play the powerhouse Walnut Mustangs on Thursday at the Diamond Bar Golf Course at 2:30.
