DIAMOND BAR HIGH SCHOOL
WEEK 18 – December 17 – December 21
Hello Brahma Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the last week of the 1st Semester. I hope your child’s first set of final exams went well on Monday. Today, December 18, we have Period 1 and 2 finals and Wednesday, December 19, is Period 4 & 5. Also, with today and tomorrow being minimum days, the front office will be closed at 1:00pm.
As we approach the holiday break, I want to say a special thanks to a dedicated Brahma who retires this month after 39 years of service to Diamond Bar High School. Congratulations to Mr. Jim Salyer, and thank you for your service and dedication as a DBHS & ROP teacher, military officer, and CHP officer. In recognition of Jim, I am sharing a link to a video that will help us appreciate his tremendous service and the impact Jim has had on all of us. Important Updates from our GLCs and the Guidance Office
A special GLC Note for all students:
With the winter break just hours away, we wish all of our students and families the best of the holidays and a great winter break. We encourage our students, with semester 1 complete at 12:15 pm on Wednesday, to use the next 18 days to rest and “recharge their batteries.” This is a great time for students to take a “break” and catch up on some activities that are neglected during school days. Activities such as reconnecting with family and friends, exercising, walking the dog, some leisure reading, catching up on sleep etc. All students need time to step away from their studies for a time in order to be better prepared for their next challenge, semester 2.
We want our students returning to us on January 7, 2019 refreshed and ready to start the new semester.
