As an extension of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of peace and love, this week is KINDNESS WEEK. J
Special thanks to Ms. Sandy Davis and our Wellness CenterConsultants (Click HERE to meet our Wellness Center Team) for organizing student and staff activities focused on kindness, and for promoting positivity all across campus. Certain days this week will have specific kindness themes highlighted during lunch in the Upper Quad with live music, student performances and art work:
Tuesday, 1/29: Be Kind to Yourself
Activity Focus on self-care & self-compassion: E-Cigarette/Vaping education, Stress management resources, Dance Clinic, Bungee Run, Photo Op, etc.
Wednesday, 1/30: Be Kind to Others
Activity Focus on other awareness: kindness grams, friendship bracelet making, student dance performances, GSA activity, Best Buddies Outreach, Link Crew Outreach, etc.
Thursday, 1/31: Be Kind to Nature
Activity Focus on social awareness/civic responsibility: Recycle Basketball, petting therapy dogs, water conservation education, Save the Bees Campaign, etc.
The last day to drop a class without it showing up on your transcript will be this Friday, February 1st. You may still drop a class after that date, but it will show up on your transcript as a WP (withdrawal pass) or an F if you are failing. Please see your GLC as soon as possible if you are thinking of dropping a class this semester.
- AP Fee Reductions: The AP Fee reduction forms are available outside the office of Instructional Dean, Mrs. Nicole Cabase, room 424. The deadline for form submission is February 21, 2019. This is a mandatory deadline for our May 2019 AP exams and there are no exceptions.
