All schools in the Walnut Valley Unified School District, including DBHS, are scheduled to be closed through Tuesday, May 5, because of the COVID-19 pandemic

I: Non-Tuition Remediation of D's/F's for Graduation/CSU/UC or Enrichment

These are free classes designed for enrichment or to make-up a D or F for either graduation or CSU/UC requirements.  Students may only be signed up for these classes through their GLC, the ELD Coordinator (Mrs. Martyr), their case carrier, or, for Bridge, the Intervention Counselor (Mrs. Osajima). 

Summer School 2020 - Monday June 8 – Thursday, July 16, 2020 (7:30am - 1:00pm)

1st semester:  Weeks 1-3, June 8 - June 25

2nd semester:  Weeks 4-6, June 29 - July 16


**civics/economics:  While these are semester courses, students will be required to attend summer school for all six weeks, taking one course in the morning and one in the afternoon.

   US History  English I/II/III     Algebra I     World History    

Bridge    ELD I/II     ELD III    

(ELD and sheltered courses never for advancement, only English enrichment or remediation)



Please Note: If a pre-registered student does not show up on Day 1, he/she will be dropped after the first thirty minutes of class have passed to make room for students seeking to add the class.


Please bring your ID on the first day of school in order to check out books for class.

If you received a D or F in World History, Algebra I, or English I, II, or III, and you don't see your name on the appropriate roster, please see your GLC.  If you received a D or F in US History and do not see your name on the roster, Mrs. Cabase in room 424 right away
If you earn a D or F in the  spring semester of any of those classes, you will not be signed up automatically.  You must report to the theater on the first day of summer school, Monday, June 8th, at 7:30 am, and we will sign you up. No student with a D or F in the classes listed above will be turned away.
Available seats will be filled at that time according to the following criteria, in the following order:
Students who previously had the course and earned a "D" or "F"
Class of 2021
Class of 2022
Class of 2023
Class of 2024
WVUSD Students not attending DBHS
Students outside of WVUSD
